The fox is a creature of myth and legend, with a rich history of symbolism across cultures and throughout time. From its cunning and sly nature to its beautiful, coat and pericing gaze, the fox has captured the human imagination and inspired countless stories and fables.
When I captured this photograph, it was early spring and a young male fox was hunting each morning on the same routine. I was able to observe and wait for him to come by my location and capture his intelegence while he was concentrating on prey.

The location of this image was captured in the White Bear lake area in Minnesota. This area is a classic example of the interface between the urban human environment to the rural and wild areas. It is a location that humans and wild animals interact and co mingle. Deer, racoon, otter, bear and in this image, fox live alongside humanity.
